Wreck Beach September Swan Song
Join us for this summer's final trip to Wreck Beach in Vancouver, BC! This is a world-renowned clothing-optional waterfront city park with a culture all its own. It is a low-pressure, relaxed place to sunbathe, swim, boogie board, read, chat or purchase unique items from vendors who walk the beach. More information is available at Wikipedia's Wreck Beach page. Return time TBD by the group, though we'll leave the beach no later than 4pm. Optional early dinner at The Boathouse, at their outdoor covered bar overlooking English Bay (by group concensus). Bellinis, anyone? You will need either a passport or a Washington Enhanced Driver's License to cross into Canada. Please respect the group by coming prepared with one of these documents. If you have questions about being admitted to Canada, please refer to http://www.cbsa-asfc..... If you are refused entry, the group may continue without you, although not before trying to make the best of the situation, assist you in getting a ride home, etc. Please, at minimum, bring: * passport or WA E-Driver's License * food and drink, lots of water * towel, other beach items * SUNSCREEN and plenty of it * sturdy shoes - there are over 200 stairs down the wooded bluff to reach the beach * money (Canadian would be helpful) * an open mind and a willingness to abide by clothing-optional guidelines ___________________________ CLOTHING-OPTIONAL ETIQUETTE: Here are some guidelines for "CO" areas: * don't assume you must be naked. "Clothing optional" means it's up to you just how much you want to remove, if anything at all. It's about how you feel, not what you see, or what others see. * don't take photos. * don't engage in sexual activity. * don't stare. * bring plenty of sunscreen! * enjoy yourself, and don't forget to bring a towel.
